Stephen Michael Schwartz

Musical performer and composer Stephen Michael Schwartz is known to children and their parents across the nation as one third of the phenomenally popular musical group, PARACHUTE EXPRESS. In existence for over twenty-five years, PARACHUTE EXPRESS has twelve award winning albums to their credit and are known as the musical backbone of the internationally established Gymboree Play and Music Program. Unbeknownst to most, Stephen Michael Schwartz is also a show business veteran who began his career at the age of twelve. Stephen has been featured both on TV and in film as well as has many musical composing and producer projects to his credit. As an actor Stephen starred in his own half hour series on NBC, “Please Stand By”. As a songwriter Stephen’s compositions have appeared in numerous films and TV shows (“Grumpy Old Men”, Stephen Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories” and the popular children’s animated series, “JAY JAY THE JET PLANE”) and his songs have been performed by such diverse artists as Barry Manilow, Ben Harper, & Trace Adkins.

I believe, with no doubt, that without Stephen’s voice and melodies passing through my ears in the early years of my life, I would have an entirely different set of dreams. His music was the soundtrack to my childhood and I can’t imagine a better way to learn about love, family, and bedtime than through his voice! He’s a GENIUS!
